Has anybody been out to Oberon by Hartees lately. I has a push bike race on on the weekend of the 22nd by Hartess and was thinking of testing out my new westy kit by making a weekend of it.

Does it still exsist as the phone just rings? and is it still reasonably maintained like a few years back.

If anybody's keen then could be a cool saturday night with the beers and a fire !

The name has changed and theres a lot of building activity going on especially at the area surrounding the main entrance.
When we did a quick drive thru a couple of months ago there was alof of campers/overnighters/fishermen on the waterfront.
Cant remember the new name now.

Just in time for Christmas season. I popped in to see what was going on and it pretty much looked like the old Oberon but with hardly anybody there. I think the water has put a huge damper on tourism and day trippers for the resort. When we used to go there was always a que to put you boats in and you rushed to get camp sites.

The other day there were a few campers but with such large area and lack of population I didnt think it was a great idea to camp (at least not with my seatcover - not in the mood for trouble) :(
