I bought this lwb shell from Greenbean back in 2007 already

two days later i went and fetched the remains of HW1 that Pine gave away with some replacement rims for the accident damaged ones
Image
picked up a pan at the local scrapyard that looked quite solid when i checked it from underneath, but that was only because there was plates welded onto the rusted floor :jerkoff:

Looking good! :hangloose: Danie (who built the Kubel) helped with the wiring in HW1 many years ago, I'm glad some of it could be saved as he did an excellent job

+1 on the Looking good! should be fun when it's done. If your kid is on it already then you will never get him off once it's done!

Buggyfan/Pine, any info on those wheels? my brother has a set without the centres and i was wondering where they from. I Know Jack used to use them on the Puma's at some stage...

They were cast in South Africa, and were fitted to SA Pumas even before Jack Wijker got involved - this ad is from 1974. The first ones had 'squared-off' slots

Image

I originally bought them from Phil (Phantomfondler) who had them on his Puma. IMPI had some repro center caps made

A few of the later Pumas had these on, with a smaller center cap and 'rounded' slots

INITIALLY I ONLY HAD 3 of those caps but wI made up a 4th one out of fibreglass using 1 as a mould

it looks a little rough but im sure the 2nd try will come out better, will then use releasing agent instead of forcing it out of the mould with a screwdriver :? :?

Today i unearthed the steering column and fixed it so that the hooter works of the centre button on the steering instead of the pushbutton that was located on the dash :hangloose:
