Here are some pics of my 68 Fasty, I have had it for a while now. Once the kombi is done this one will get some attention
Lowered two splines in the front to level the car
Its a good solid body. Dont have any problems at the moment except for a dodgy fuel gauge.

Nice Fastback.

Good condition still,

Still have the type 3 engine in her.??

The interior looks more 69 or 70, but they never made the 70 here.

Still want to do more work on her, or are you done.??

Looks like some panel beating been done on the right hand side, looking at the bottom of door. Otherwise a nice example!

What causes the discolouration of the linning? Yes, I know 'water' is the easiest response, however, how does one get water there as this example seems rather common on our classics?

Jolas the dash is cracked across the centre grill but its not that bad.
Hloni, both sides look like that  I would like to get that fixed asap so I can get some trim on the car
Other plans will probably be some nice wheels, blinds for the rear window, exterior visor, some pinstriping.

Nice,

See you need a Air filter intake rubber, ...

There are plenty around....

Get a tube from your local bike shop, they will have the correct diameter, and just cut a section out.

Due to rubber and other leaks, the water gets into the old, cotton/Hessian sound proofing, and when the car stands in the sun the condensate goes up the pilers, and turns back into water on the roof liner.

If you have these marks, you know you have water leaks into the car.

That is why I have striped all this type of under felt/sound proofing out of my fastback.

I heard that "shower cleaner" will take off water marks, but PLEASE test it 1st on a unseen place, (under light fitting maybe)
Have never tried it myself, so do not know 1st hand if it works......

Sad that you have to sell your fastback.

Maybe post under the "vehicles for sale" category as well, then more people may respond.
