Guess there may be a "2" missing, could have been 24 sec?

The late split beetles and early ovals were 1131cc's, (75mm bore). Compression ratio was 5.8:1 to be able to use the poor quality fuel available at the time.

Somewhere around 1954 capacity was increased to 1192cc's, (77mm bore).

Original beetle, (around 1938- 1939), had 986cc's from 70mm bore. In 1939 capacity was increased for use in the Kubelwagen, which had more weight.

Up to 1192cc engines all used 64mm stroke.
