Aircooled VW South Africa

I am busy looking for driving lights for me buggy. I came across this at the boyracer shop - it's a step close to what I am looking for as it has both park and driving (although it looks like an H3 = single beam).



The ideal would be these, or something similar as the use H4s

If I am not mistaken, you need SABS glass. Those dont have the SABS stamp.
But, my headlights dont have SABS glass and I never had aproblem with them in 7 years as a daily driver with numerous roadworthy checks...

Half the Shitty Golfs and minibus taxis would be impounded if this was to be adhered to. Even majority of the tow trucks would also have to be empounded as they drop off the unroadworthy vehicles at the poundyard.

SABS is only applicable at the factory in Pinetown, Uitenhage and up in Pretoria North. I wonder if GWM's or Mahindra have SABS stamp on them.

Tony, do OEM HELLA products have SABS on them? I mean, the other one is a BOSCH, perhaps not a 'driving light', but as I suspect a spot/fog/conering light.

my old ones had SABS on them, I am sure of it.
If it doesnt have SABS, then it needs an equivalent.

But I suspect no-one cares as long as the lights are set right

And they are for LHD side of the road like we have here in ZA. A number of these imports are for mainland Europe market or the Americas where they drive on the wrong side of the road, therefore the beam deflection being a pain to most road users!! Especialy when the guys begin to add the cheap Xenon or 'equivalent' brightness bulbs!!!
