Thank you Tony for uploading the pics. That's my 60's bug, she has full disc brakes all round, electric windows, full red/cream leather on honda seats with run very smooth on their own rails. At the moment she has at stock 1600 single port engine (which I bought brand new 11 years ago and has only done a out 100 000 kms with twin 34 IDF carbs and a phatboy exhaust system. I wanted to fit an 18 and 19 inch mag, but cudnt get enough clearance at the back (that was not the rim I wanted) but had to settle for it for now. I'm considering selling the car

Also the car had a bare metal spray job, finished with a candy appled red which I imported from house of colours in U.S.A

Great looking ride Nizaam!
I am with Beetlepower on the rims though - but then I'd probably feel the same about just about anything in that size & up. Have yet to see big modern wheels on a Beetle of that era that do it justice......
(This is of course an opinion only, sure to get someone's panties in a bunch, but out there nevertheless!)

Thanks barry I appreciate the feedback, I was going going for something CHIP FOOSE would do, keep it a bit original, but add some modern touches to it. I do have a set of reverse adaptors and standard 4" steelies and some Atlas white walls to go with it, so all is not lost.
If you guys ever need white wall inserts, I'm the agent for then in south african, I can sell them in 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 inch

Love the candy, you had to import from HOK USA? What happened to their agents in SA? Went to see them a few times about a year or two ago when I was still into airbrushing, was wondering where they went,
Nice job on the car though and I love the rim's, these type of rim's come to life once she's rolling down the street

Thanks guys, its just a pity I only get to drive it once a month, (started building this when I was single, then met a girl, then said I want to get married but I must first finish the car, the car is 99% finished but I got married and now kid, starting creche tomorrow) like I said I only driver her one a month, but she gets started every weekend at least. She stands in the dry garage covered with winter sheets ( the car not the wife) LoL.... I am considering selling it....
