AN URGENT CALL FOR HELP - PLEASE READ

I have just heard tonight that Dirk, from FIM Dienste in Skinner Street, Pretoria had a massive break-in at his workshop over the Festive Season, and ALL his tools were stolen! One can imagine that when you fix Beetles for a living, your tools are your bread and butter and that without it, you are lost.
I want to ask ACVWSA members to please help - if you have any spare sockets, ratchets, screw drivers, spanners, hydraulic jacks etc that you are not using - please consider donating it to Dirk to get his business up and running again. There is some issue with his insurance (I do not know what). He does not know that I am posting this (not sure if he is on the Forum), but I think he will really appreciate it. If possible, drop it off at his workshop when you have the time. I will be going through my stuff myself tomorrow, and I am sure there are some stuff that I don't need.
I am really relying on the goodwil of the ACVWSA members here - thanks guys!

If you haven't met Dirk before, I can assure you that he is one of the most friendly and helpful VW mechanics I have ever met. If you don't know what he looks like, these pics were taken after KKK in 2010 when we found a few hubcaps (including those of Mrs Fig) next to a pothole not far from Fig's farm
.

This is not the first time that this has happened - At the beginning of 2011 some lowlife scum decided to nick his tools and cause damage to his workshop

Thanks, PCee - I appreciate it, but it wasn't meant to be a money collecting effort. Only a way to get rid of your excess tools, but thanks anyway!

Damn,
Only saw this now. Pine, are you doing the rounds to collect or should we drop the donations off somewhere?
Like Pine said, Dirk really is a helpful soul. He deserves assistance. Never been to his shop, but have camped with him before.
