62 Bug restoration (or Herbie according to my son!)

Okay and so it starts..........
Was looking for an old Bug 1963 or older and saw this one in randburg.
I had seen others in better condition but there was a spark when we met and I knew that she/he was the one!
One week after buying him/her (still don't know what to call the Bug) the motor lost power!
Found out that the one spark plug thread in the head had an insert in and it burnt thru, even burnt the plug hex and valve!
Before:
I'm no machanic so I sent my Bug in to be repaired and got him/her back like this!
Okay so now the motor is sorted so I decided to do some cosmetic stuff.
The rear bumper was in a bad state, but got a spare with the car when i bought him/her!
After ALLOT of rubbing and polishing I did a Cinderella transformation on the spare bumper!
Only problem now is that the part where the bumper bolts to the car is slightly disintigrated from whatever happened in the past!
So I need to replace the mounting on the chassis.
The interior is not too bad, BUT not the right seats for the year model.
Will have to find the correct ones, would like him/her to be as origional as possable!
Got hold of an origional mirror so the I think "Ghia" style mirror is off! (Left with a hole in the door for now!)
I also got hold of the mesh that goes behind the dash speaker thing, will do that later. (not sure of the real technical name!)
And have a hooter ring for the steering!
Looking forward to getting the Bug up to scratch!
The color is not origional so I was thinking of spraying him/her the turquoise that the 62's came in.
Think it will make the Bug stand out a bit!
And from what I can see under some of the covers it is close to or might even be the origional color!
Going to have allot of cool memories fixing and riding him/her!
