At the dealer

I visited one of our 2 VW dealers in town and found this sitting out there...

Both vehicles has been restored by the dealership, the bug is for charity and the bus is for promotion for the dealership.
They say they spended $40 000.00 on the Beetle restoration alone. But I got to say it is nice, would love to own that sucker myself.
But it is nice to see that the dealers are involved enough to restore the history and keep them alive.

Not a big fan of the stickers on it, but then it is for promotional work so it does the job.

1600cc engine
New transmission & transaxle
Hight adjustable front suspention
New brakes and wiring
New interior
Swing out back windows
New FM/AM radio
Chrome rims
12volt electrical
Total cost of restoration $46 327.44

My first car was a 67 Beetle, still wish I had kept it!
Have ALLOT of GOOD memories with that Bug, the drunken push starting after a joll :drunks: , the wheel that overtook me :shock: ..............

This one looks brilliant! 8)
Great to see dealers investing in their heritage!

Those look like Porsche rims on that Beetle.
