Hi I just picked up the perfect project. It is a 63 original owner sort off that was modified in the late sixties early seventies.
4 mint EMPI sprintstars. Astrali steering wheel and seat covers that were modeled on the Ford capri
Also with the car was a toolkit some NOS parts and a lot of dirt
From my own collection I will add the folowing: EMPI tappet covers
EMPI 88mm aluminium finned sleeves. Roller bearing crank. Lollette Intake manifolds for 36 DCD Webers (I need one 36)
Aluminium EMPI (new) Pully I am still looking for a set of period perfect VDO Gauges
I would love some more info on old SA performance parts If anyone can help.

Pics?

Astrali?

You mention Lollette manifolds IMPI...

My Kadrons have some very sh*tty-looking manifolds...

I've priced new, snazzy looking Kadron manifolds overseas, but if something decent is available here...

Does Lollette supply Kadron manifolds?

Thanks, N.

As anything from Volkspares these days.... No more home grown innovation Those lolette manifolds fit 36 dcd webers and not Kadrons Did you know that the first Kadrons were actuall Puma Carbs and were taken of Brazillian 4.1 chevrolet engines Only one carb for a whole 4.1 liter engine WOW

Sick and tired of being just a number on the road?

Gatvol for trying to find your Beetle in a parking lot between hundreds of others that look EXACTLY the same?

Wishing you had the performance of the other cars you only see flashing their headlights in your rear view mirror, and then passing you in a flash?

Beetle owner, do not dispair - we have the solution!

For a mere R 140.00, you can fit a complete set of Weber carbs, turning your snail-on-wheels Beetle into a lightning bolt!

Image

...or for the ALL TIME low price of R 94.00 how about a bigbore kit, turning your 1200cc into a MONSTEROUS 1352cc?

Image

..of course with a 1.4 to 1 Hi-Lift ROCKER KIT at R 72.26 - compliments of EMPI Suid-Afrika

Image

Performance should be HEARD as well. What you need is a Paddy GENUINE BULLET EXTRACTOR exhaust system, yours for only R 35.00

Image

Say GOODBYE! to vintage points and condensors, and fit a revolutionary MSI electronic ignition system for only R 36.00!

Image

With ALL THAT PERFORMANCE, obviously you need the handling to suit, so you can also get a rear axle CAMBER COMPENSATOR for the real-value-for-money price of R 12.50!

Image

Aaaah - Mr Botha, I can see you are a main who likes to be in control of his own destiny. Now you can be even MORE in control with this wood-rimmed steering wheel, as fitted to Porsche sports cars, for ONLY R 45.00..

Image

Illuminate your destiny even further with a set of futuristic quartz and iodene spot and fog lamps at R 9.50 each:

Image

In the highly unlikely event of things going wrong, GUARANTEE the safety of yourself and your family with these Irvin self-retracting seat belts at only 75 cents each:

Image

But DECREASE the risk even further, and stay on the road with a HERMES AEROFOIL for only R 12.50

Image

Treat your Beetle with a set of these imported Speedwell-BRM wheels at R 156.00 a set or R 39.00 each

Image

...but if that is a bit tough on your pocket, why not settle for a set of these 13 inch Ralle-Mag alloy wheels at an affordable R 24.00 each?

Image

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!

How about...

Engine air intake grills, cigar lighters, fibre glass stone guards or a crested gear knob?

Image

or...

Bumper overriders, an 'I never drink water' VW beer mug?

Image

or...

A sports gear lever, a parcel tray, carpet sets or GOLD pens and pencils?

Image

(All prices exclude GST, and are subject to change without prior notice)

P.S: All pictures above specially researched and scanned by PINE 'cause IMPI promised me a NEW STEERING BOX!

Im still driving a car with points and have never bothered to change it. Tanks for the research.
