BAD Bug

From a CAR magazine of January 1969 - this Beetle was fitted with a 6.2 litre V8 Chrysler engine in the front. It had a four-barrel Carter carburettor, and produced 227kW with 555 N.m. of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a two-speed auto tranny
This beast was built by Peter Michaels for a Hot Rod & Speed Exhibition in Cape Town, early 1969 - wonder if it still exists?

I don't know about that Beetle, but there are at least two Bugs still around that have huge American V8s in front. I photographed a pink Chevy-powered Beetle at Vaal Ou Wiele a couple of years ago.
