This came out of hiding on Friday.
It now has a rebuilt gearbox (Sorry Bugger, the postage is to much to send up to JHB)
Reduction boxes and universals have been overhauled.
New motor has been built and waiting to go in.

Why a Brazillia...??????
Sorry, not being funny, but a lot of guys shy away from them, why did you not.??
I think they have the same status as the Fleetline, each in its own right.

1. Its the closest I could get to a split bus.
2. Not many busses have drive-shafts and universal joints.
3. Its also a panelvan i.e. minimal windows. (sin bin

)

Ok so Friday we adjust the brakes with the stars. Alls good. Well.........
!@#$%^%%$#$#@!@# The left rear tire is suddenly all wet!
Pull off the wheel and hub to find one shot brake cylinder........ but wait.......
After searching the morning for a new one and not finding any, we decided to try our luck with using beetle or type 3 cylinders. They cannot be used.
After more inspection my son says he sees the problem. Nothing wrong with the brake cylinder, the problem is with the brake shoe.
Some !@#$^&^%$%^%$ had put one wrong shoe in the box. The bus shoes need a long slot that goes into the cylinder (not like a beetle that has a nipple sticking out of the cylinder). Anyway found a piece of plate and cut an extension to be bolted on the shoe. Which now works fine.

This was my plan. Take the bus for a Sunday afternoon cruise and let a profesional photographer take some pics.
But he seems to be escourting some Durbanites around.
So I'll have to go take some myself.
Give me 10 minutes.
