Hi Guys and gals,
I want to know, is it illegal to fit under car neons. I want to fit it under my beetle's running boards. Not to drive with, but let's say you are parked in a parking lot. Can the cops bust you for that. I want to wire it to the sound system so that it flashes to the beat of the music. What are your takes on this?

That sounds like it should be highly illegal anywhere outside of Lenasia, the Cape Flats, Boksburg and Chatsworth.

If you do not use emergency vehicle colours then you should be ok. So no BLUE or RED. Also avoid colours found on the rear of vehicles, so orange and white.

Hey! Ron, when last were you on Milkbushbeach?????
They are illegal to drive with as they attract other drivers attention causing them to have an accident.
Doubt if they are illegal at a park off. BUT. Once the cops see you they will follow you, waiting in fast cars, 24hours a day, until you do drive with them on.

Then under that logic Exotic cars would also be illegal! So would hot chicks in cars (sorry ladies, time for ALL of you to wear brown paper bags)!
It is illegal to have coloured lights on your vehicle of such colours that it could be mistaken for an emergency vehicle.
BTW I dont condone Ricer behaviour.

The law is very clear about this point.
"You may only have coloured lights all over the car,
which includes under the floor,
if and only if,
you have genuine fake imitation Leopard skin seat covers,
fur on the dash,
and big fluffy white dice hanging from the oversized clip on mirror."
