Thanks for the pics Eddy, any more pics of the split busses, I can see a late German split and a Fleetline bus and perhaps a panel van, any earlier busses ? Whats the story there, that lot seems to have been there forever and rusting in peace ?

Hells bells, that blue Fleetline bus appears to be on top of another split bus which has completely collapsed under the weight ? Or is it just part of another bus lying there ?

I didn’t take allot of pics (stupid me) But there’s allot of busses. Some even with engines in. Couple of panel vans (splits) there is a German and Brazilian bus and I think it had all the windows. The variants, complete cars. The bodies of the busses was long gone... but there parts glass and bits and pieces. There 1 Bay single cab with perfect sides and hinges, just need and motor

I've been to that scrap yard a few times the past 5 years. In my experience, the owners are a bunch of very unfriendly people who are convinced that every single part in that scrap yard is worth its weight in gold, and price it accordingly :?

All the 'good' stuff is anyway gone years ago, and the air pollution of the nearby ISCOR (MITTAL?) plant has caused severe acid rain in the general vanderBijlpark/Sasolburg area, and resulted rust on the wrecks that is worse than you would find at the coast. Go have a look yourself, but in my opinion not even worth going through the trouble

What pine said
I used to go there at least twice a week and everytime the price was different and way more than what I was willing to pay.

There are 2 Squarebacks - the '68 burnt (presumably the reason it ended up there in the 1st place) and there isn't much left of the '69 MT either.
