I am looking for a adaptor plate to fit a frod dierra v6 motor to a IRS beetle gearbox in a buggy. Does anyone know of a company that makes them or has one that will fit exactly. Thanks

try http://www.giloeng.com

they can custom make you one .
why not rather go for a 1.8/2.0l golf engine

The Golf conversion is rhe best. You will run into all sorts of trouble trying to get a V6 to fit in a Beetle. Biggest problem will be the weight of the engine. Anything is do-able ,but I doubt if you will be happy with the results. Keep it simple; Golf engine with carb has got plenty of power and no hassles.

Arno van Wyk from Andreno motors in Villiersdorp got a double cab syncro with a lexus v8.
I've been in it once and that thing pulls like a steam train! only faster.

Rotary turbo is also an option. Had mine for a couple of months now. Very fun. Not much that keeps up. 180Kw on the wheels 260nm.

Did my golf conversion for under 8K. Okay, I must add, everything was D.I.Y. Even the adaptorplate and flywheel.
