good one Ron and Gill

You guys will have to ask for the school field for parking when we have a get together with all the peeeps and all the Vws
Think if one had to work out the average it would be supprising

Better not talk to loud as the next thing we will all be hit with a more than average number of cars per owner tax

Ja, and the dive gear, and the camping stuff, and the tow hook to tow, launch and recover the boat.

Nice ride, congrats.
I wish VWAG/VWUSA would put the bong down and bring us the Amarok, but they say it "will not sell" in the US, I call BS.

Thanks guys. Hopefully next time it will be R&G 1, cow 0 instead of 1-1 or should that be cow 0, Audi 0.

There's a big old handbag bash going on about the Amarok. The old school guys say the engine is too small, the even older school guys think VW isn't allowed to build 4X4s, because only Landrover and Toyota may... with big engines, like the Landrover's 4 cyl 2250cc  which went everywhere in calendar days, much like the split window bus. Ol' Sarel gets loads of bucks telling us it's a wonderful 4X4, and loads of technology has gone into it. It's all good. My boet, who drive a beeg Landcruiser everywhere, and I do mean everywhere, sometime towing a caravan  , he says it looks lekker, but he's worried about the turbo in sand, because you don't have the immediate response. Fair point. :|

Well, I drove it, and then Gill drove it and she loves it. I like the look, the technology and the specs. Gill likes the round thing on the front. Me too. The jury's out on the sand bit, but let me put it this way, to my knowledge, I am still the only oke who drove a beach buggy up Red Dune at Grotto Bay, so I'll be OK I think. :D

Stadig oor die klippe, soos hulle se... :drunks:

Me too, I'll send Wolfsburg an email. But I must admit, I don't think, with all due respect, the 1600TP will get the Amarok up the driveway... It's kinda heavy.

That was the first thing I noticed when I looked up her skirt from behind... . (Old habits die hard... ) Having spent all my time on normal passenger cars of various shapes and sizes, looking up there I thought "Yussus, everything is three times bigger, thicker and heavier than I am used to..."

The only problem with that "Bakkie" is the size and the feeling of invincibility.

You think you are the Hulk, And nothing can hurt you.......Quit scary, once you realise this fact....

But hey!! know you will enjoy it, and remember, NO revenge on the Cow Population.........Please!!!
