Spotted at a wine farm in Stellenbosch today - VWSA arranged for some journalists to test drive the new Beetle - they were ferried from the airport to the venue in the better Beetles

Nice condition 1302 also in attendance

Hennie Binneman driving Jean Viljoen's convertible beauty and Vader in my mom-in-law's '58

I like the 21Century Beetle. Its the one VW should have launched 10yrs ago. The interior is sweet but the head room is lacking. I like the "Fuks" style rims...

i see yellow and blue bugs, but the VWSA site only lists the boring white/silver/grey/black colours and a horrid brown...
i'll have rising blue, some coilovers and some choice wheels from OZ...

Bugger you need to go look at the new one. Dont get me wrong its no Bug but it is better in the flesh..
