Hi everyone,

I am nearing completion on my project. Spent a few hours with Jurgen and Esme this morning (thanks for the coffee Es) finalising the list of outstanding items needed. I am looking for the following ... if any of you can help it will be awesome!!

- side markers (look like indicators but not ... you know what I mean!)
- lock pin carrier and lock for front hood
- seals (left and right) for front (wrap around) flashing indicators
- gaskets / seals (both sides) for front reflector housing
- interior light (passenger side ... )
- door stops (some refer to these as check rods) -for both doors
- variant badge for tail gate
- volkswagen badge for tail gate
- VW badge for front hood

I got the e-mail that you PM'd me but no PM in my Inbox, strange...

I unfortunately don't have much in terms of spares or parts for a Variant and what I have I will be using. Have you tried any of the overseas stores like VW Heritage Parts? And get on to thesamba.com, specifically the Type 3 section as there are a ton of guys with contacts, spares, parts, etc. that I am sure can help. If I find or come across anything I will be sure to let you know...

I imported from ISPWEST in the US previously and was very happy with their product quality ... am trying to source the balance on my list locally if I can to save time and money.

Luckily my car is largely complete but did need a complete brake overhaul, new exhaust, carb rebuild, new shocks, tie rod ends, cables, seals, gaskets, gear linkages, etc, etc. Her release/thrust bearing started failing a week or two back so she will be getting a completely new clutch and associated parts soon...

What did you get from ISP if I may ask? I'll keep an eye out for the parts you looking at but Type 3 parts are scarce in SA...

Yeah parts are scarce. that's why I stocked up when I could. Hehe

Deon, you really ought to insert a comma between "Split" and "Beetle" under the "What cars do you have"......or have you been holding out on us?
