When a bad day turns good.

Believe it or not I have one running vehicle and that's my son's '66.
During the George trip we had hassles starting the Fasty. It turns out we were busy frying the battery, which is now wrecked, as we were charging it at 19 volts.
The regulator came out of the Ghia, which never had this problem.
When putting the regulator back into the Ghia to test it, we fried that battery too.
On Thursday and Friday, I started hearing some strange noises coming from the Brasillia's gearbox / drive shafts. On inspection we found that one of the U bolts had come loose and had dropped a roller bearing (hope it didn't hit anybodys car while driving behind me.
Well today was FFR open day, and my day turned all good.
Our friend Muds was there with his usual Bus Shop.
And this is what I found:
One Brasillia gearbox, hopefully with side shafts and reduction boxes, when Muds does some searching. This will go into the Brasillia as the original jumps out of 4th gear.
It also has a Fleetline nose cone which I have been looking for. So a double score actually.
Also scored 2, Yes 2, corner windows for the Fleetline to be kept as spares as these are rarer than hens teeth.
One Fleetline headlight complete to go with the one I already have. Both front indicators, a bus parcel shelf and a spare front screen for my Ghia.
All in all a good days dealing.
Thanks Muds, and Jason
We are real happy chappy's tonight.
