I have aquired a 1968 Fasty which is 95% complete but in pieces c/w motor, have papers for motor and vehicle.
Now the question is do I sell as complete or sell off as parts
What would the asking price be
I would like to build it up but I have way to much on my plate as it is

Sell every thing else, but build up the Fastback....

The most scares car VW ever made,

The most comfortable car VW ever made,

The best looking car VW ever made,

The fastest aircooled VW ever made.....

Just what I have heard, not favoring Fastback in any way......

It isn't true, either way. The 411s and 412s were faster, even the T34 was faster (fastest Type 3) and more scarce were the T34 and the Notch. The new VWs are a lot more comfortable, especially those with 4 doors, and the fast back is only prettier than the T34 and even that's debatable, which is almost the ugliest VW ever built. And this is as :TIC: as your post.

Why sell a car for spares if it has papers....assemble it and sell it again. Another one on the road.

Thanks RG
The info on the papers for the engine says 1974 Station wagon
Could it be a 1700cc
Vehicle papers say 1968 Variant

Well, production ended in 1973, so it might be a T4 engine. And if it's a Fastback, it can't be a Variant, that would be a Squareback.

The engine is not from the same vehicle
The papers for the engine say Volkswagen Variant Station Wagon 1974-01-01
The papers for the vehicle say Voklswagen Variant Sedan 1968-01-01
But then we all know that what the papers say is not neccessary always correct

Me thinks you have a type 4 engine in it, if that is the case, you have the holy grail of combinations, so definitely fix it, make it good, and only if you have to.... .. sell it.
Looks like the last guy that registered the car was a true VW buff..... :TIC:

Ron hates it when people call the T4 a variant

No, no, that's OK, as long as it's a 411 or 412 station wagon.

I hate it when they call a T3 a Variant... because only 1 out of 4 type 3 models is a Variant.
