Some unusual motorhomes:

The rear engined Vixen, powered by BMW diesel. Wind-tunnel aerodynamics, cd 0.30 and low fuel consumption.

Rear engined Ultravan, powered by aircooled flat 6 from the Chevrolet Corvair.
