Bought a 3mtr by 3mtr room carpet (R450), Cut out templates and edged them (R850) 2 Ltr Red Devil contact adhesive (R130) and lets not forget Grease (the Elbow variaty).

getting there hey .
what type of sound deadening did you use and what did it cost to do the whole car . another thing does it make any difference to the ride on the inside once fitted ,like road and engine sound .
ye Rui is cheaper and ships too .

Update Time
The cars on the road, got the COR done registration and licencing done.
Drove around our suburb :D , what a head turner. 8)

Now for the hard work.
1) Suspension still too low, touching the rear tyres. Need to lift a click.
2) Petrol gauge not working.
3) Idle is too high, need to 'MaGuiver' a sping for the carbs linkage to return.

DRIVE and TEST, this will go on for a while I'm sure :(

Hi Guys Update time again.

Settled on rims and tyres

Fitted door panels, the clips were out of sync :( and diddnt hold well :( had to settle for self tapping partition screws, will now get caps to cover them.

Started working on the dash, fitted the Radio (thanks Muds) and the crome beadings.

Spoke to Peire, to take her there to get the suspension lifted 1 click, the gearlever aligned, the engine rubbers fitted, and the idleing properly set. hopefully tomorrow.

Sorry no update recently :( , Cars at Pierre's (Vdubtech), engine to be swapped for 2ltr, external oil cooler and electric pump, anticipating a decent drive sometime next week :D .

However did get to test an Electric Beetle :lol:
