Well after emptying the rain gauge this morning and looging up the 200th mm of rain

Was just wondering how the rest of you good folk are handling this serious cold snap in the western cape

Soo much rain that my back yard has now flooded and the water level is now about 10 mm inside the bath

No drainage so the wife had to have a shower this morning

Hope that all the rest of you are all safe and just have a quite moment for all those peeps that are living in low lying areas

Was known as the Cape Flats now the Cape Floods

Off to Pringle Bay to see what a 7 m swell looks like and a Sprigbok Potjie
Made the back of the bus real comfy for the rest of my Team

Pics will follow

Have a Dry day

:hangloose:

I'll be home on Wednesday so I have not witness it myself yet...
but here are some pics my SO has sent...

Our front gate (note, the bridge is only 10m wide and about 1m below the water as seen in the picture. The river (when it flows - its dry 80% of the year) is about 20m from our gate.

and our back yard...

I should be glad, at least we are dry and safe. Would hate to actually have the water in the house. My one neighbor was underwater by about 20cm
