Does any one know where I can get a real good quality car cover for a Beetle from, not the Midas type, I don't mind paying a higher price as long as it is top quality.

Just do your homework, as a lot of these covers, do more damage then good.

The common problems with them are,
Scratch car when wind blows
Forms condensate under the cover, promoting rust.
Allows rats to nest under the cover
Turns dust into grinding past.

Have heard that best is a "tent" type free standing structure that holds the cover off the car body.

You have some good points there Herman thanks,I am worried about dust and afternoon sun.
This car is really immaculate and original right down to the suitcases and I would like to keep it that way so it is important that I make the right choice first time round,so like you say I need to do my homework on this one.

Is this car standing outside?

I use car covers, but its all for cars inside the garage to keep the dust off.

If its outside, car covers are a no go. You must find a proper garage for that car ASAP if it is the case.
