Here is the Car we rescued from NW Province this weekend - not mine due to space constraints but my friends. Specs as follow 1961 1200 6v - Unmolested - never even had a radio fitted. Car came with all original documentation including service manual, original Hp agreement for 680 Pounds. Congratulations to the 3rd owner of this beauty who has already commenced the "clean" up

Help need snowflakes complete to resurrect this beauty to stock any suggestions or anyone who has please let me know.

Also need the original supported bonnet for the type that is held up on one side only by mechanical arm and not sprung

What a beauty. Makes me think of the time when I rescued my 1960 from an abusive home in Pretoria. I drove him all the way back to Kempton Park without any hassles. I think the car was happy to get out of there...lol.
I replaced the single arm on the bonnet with two spring arms because it had a small tear where the arm supports it. The guy that is restoring my beetle said that even if he fixes it, it would eventually tear again so it's better to replace it with two spring arms.
