hi all,

I have a:
1 x 1300 beetle motor for sale - needs work - R1700 - SOLD
1 x Type 4 (AP code - 1800cc) upright conversion to fit beetle. conversion not complete. - SOLD
- needs Carbs and some other parts.
The cooling system is made from fibre glass and would work in buggy or beetle.

Some parts was stripped from the beetle motor (yellow) to do the upright conversion. Also, have the original alternator and front part of the type 4 motor.

What is the condition of the 1300 subassembly? End float? Burning oil? Does it need a rebuild?

I got the engines from a fellow forum member
Theres end float. He said the motor was working but he took it out because of the oil seal being stuffed - probable caused by the end float.
Thats as much as I know about the engine.
