So, today I took the old girl for a bit of a treat, to set the carb and do a bit of knick-knack work...Part of her treat was the Dyno...she came in at 39 BHP. :?: :x :x

SO assuming that most people on this forum are running some kind of 1600 aircooled engine. What are the performance numbers ?

Dude, I won't take my speedster near a Dyno.. Whatever it currently has, is sufficient for my needs and requirements..
Show me a better way to cruise around the Cape Winelands on a balmy Sunday Afternoon.. Taking in the scenery. works 100% for me.
;-)

Stutz's bus had over 60 after I did the heads for him.
I had 74hp on a 1600 with twin webers, decent exhaust and my own head work

Alan, its nice to cruise, but its better to have something in reserve to enjoy the drive...

The reason for the dyno was to set the car under running conditions through the gears, rather than static setting or light only... she feels different, nicer... is there a technical reason for not going dyno ?
