Aircooled VW South Africa

Since Feb 2013 this forum has been running at a loss and suggestions were made to include a Donation tab on our forum to remedy it.

A DONATIONS link http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/page/donations on the header page has now been created ala the one on http://www.thesamba.com and I created this post as the idea and motivation for the Donations tab is imbedded in another post.

The donation options are miniscule so everyone able to, please contribute either a once off amount, or via the drop down tab either a monthly amount of 1 EURO (R14.66) or yearly - 12 months at R176.00

This is obviously optional, so please be advised that no compulsion to donate is intended or inferred.

Donations are accepted via all Major Credit cards or even easier if you have Paypal... the best thing since sliced bread and free home delivery

Lets please make this happen Volks?

My day is'nt complete if I have'nt logged on to ACVWSA, I get a lot of pleasure here, I've met some fantastic like-minded nutcases, had many questions answered, scored some damned good deals, and so on and so forth. Actually, too much to mention.
R15 bucks per month - if it secures many more years of "ACVWSA", then I'm definitely in as well

The last few years have treated my well, thankfully. So I made a nice once off donation.
I too enjoy the site too much to see it shut down for financial reasons.

I visit the site very often too and would hate to lose it.

Will EFT be ok? To which account?

The forum has for many years been my drug, my day is not going to go well without a fix first thing in the morning and several times thru the day, I don't need rehab, so contributing to my addiction is the right thing to do. LOL So what if I'm a addict.

I'm not sure if I missed it on the page but what about an invite friends tab?
Something like an automated invite tab simmilar to face book and whats app where you can invite friends to join the forum
Might make it easy for guys to invite friends to join the forum and get the numbers up

There is no invite function as such but for each topic there is a little envelope icon just above the username at the top which allows you to email a link to the topic to a friend's email address from the forum. Apart from that there is also the AirTag link which generates invite cards with a QR code or a namepage for shows for you.

Found it and will give it a go!

Its hart warming to see the excellent response to the donations / subscriptions idea.

This will enable us all to have years of joy and profit from the forum that supplies us with fun and anger (sometimes... )

the forum and all you guys have been a awesome support for me. like last night Deon mostert pm'd me and said he has a pair of windows for me if I come and fetch it. that's the kind off support if had all this time.

my bus has been standing for 6 months now without any work progress done. but all the posts of other members and there projects has kept me motivated to not let go off my bus but finish it. without you guys it would probably have found a new home. fortunately work has gone quite now as it's winter wich means a lot more time for the bus.

a monthly donation is the least I could do. I'll EFT it into the above account no.
