Re: Tony Z has a Baywindow Panel Van
Hi Alan
This is a custom job that Tony had made up on the bus by a fitment centre.
I don't work on customers cars, I manufacture large volumes of exhaust components and distribute to the fitment centres that fit to customers cars.
My products are all manufactured in jigs. Tony's system could be jigged and several made from it, but as mentioned above, his system is custom made to his bus. This means this system will not work on an early bay or split screens. It's only for Type 1 style motor in a late bay. If I would get an order of 20 or more, it may justify development and set up costs, but otherwise this is best left to a once-off custom job.
Do you have the EMPI 4-1 on your bus Alan?

Re: Tony Z has a Baywindow Panel Van
Thanks for the reply.
I don't know what's currently on my Bay, it was fitted by Andreno at the time of the motor build. I'll take a Pic over the weekend.
Mine's a type 1 Andreno build to 1900cc
thanks
Alan

Re: Tony Z has a Baywindow Panel Van
I've noticed that a few pictures have gone...
and, since I did a little work to the bus during my last leave, I thought I'd stick up a picture of how she looks now.
as you can see, I've gone with the black on white theme. Subtle touches that arent flashy but look just right.
I even imported new smoked tailights to keep up the theme
For those with a keen eye, you'll also notice that I painted the silencers a matt black. In hindsight, I should have gone with gloss black, but its too late now and I'm not bothered to change it. After all, its not a show car and I use this bus more often than I use my daily driver now-days.
There are one or two small touches that I want to get to at some point in the near future, but for now, I'm happy.

Nice looking combination,
Had it on my Lowlight, before paint, but think I will keep it when she now comes out of paint.
Cool bus Tony,
Herman

Re: Tony Z has a Baywindow Panel Van
There is still one detail which is hiding in plain sight that most people dont even notice simply because it looks like it should be there...
Simple, effective and you dont notice it because of the subtlety but it brings so much more to the look (IMO).

Re: Tony Z has a Baywindow Panel Van
good try, but you missed it
as I said, it looks so right, it isnt noticed.
Just like the lowered front suspension, it isnt noticeable because it is "just right"
btw, windows arent tinted - the photos make them look that way

Re: Tony Z has a Baywindow Panel Van
spoil sport
if you look at the pictures, you'll notice how the rain gutter has been nicely blacked out
totally visible for all to see, does a nice accent to the colour by breaking it up and absolutely hides in plain site, as if it should be there.
