What is an alternator stand cast out of?

Magnesium, like the block and gearbox?
I want to get my alternator stand detailed to match my engine, and wondered if it was Magnesium too, which would give the paint problems with sticking to it.
Thanks, N.

Powder coating works fine

Painting?
I'm having two or three engine parts in the bay detailed, so whole powdercoating may not be the answer.
Thanks, N.

@#$%...so I'm going to have the same problem I face/d with my gearbox/block...flaking of the paint...
...or is this not really an issue, due to lesser heat?
I'm not powdercoated before we discuss that.
It needs to be painted for a reason.
Thanks Armand.
