Betsy will ride again!

So, after 5years and moving Betsy from Stilfontein to Kimberley to Cape Town and eventually to JHB, she is registered in my name. She is a 62 Type 1 and I aimed for registration before going full-on restoration. Cost me R2700 for overdue license fees at Boksburg traffic department on Saturday. After 2 temporaries for towing her over the years and 4 hours spent at Randburg Traffic Department in April (at the end of the day got told I had to register in Ekurhukeni as I live there - would have loved to get told this at reception upon arrival), I had the time to sort this mess out. Super chuffed! Stripped her in Cape Town for paint (iffy spray job done) while I moved to Hotazel and then JHB. Went to fetch her and found 1) both chrome bumpers gone, 2) front and rear windows gone 3) some chrome disappeared as well, 4) Engine stood out in the rain - not turning at all. At the end of the day just put her on an A-frame and towed her home. Since then bought front and rear glass. Now to re-strip her and fix pan and the respray. Also take motor apart and see if it can be salvaged.
