Extra work...

Post by Merlin »

's up all?

I've run into some financial doodie lately with all this F'ing car BS I'm involved with. In retrospect, this bug project idea was not the best thing to do right now...

...so, I need some moola to get the US parts moving, the local parts orders paid up, etc.

At any rate, outside of the kit for sale here, short of selling my body, and without pimping drugs, anyone got any bright ideas on how to get some sideline cash?

Weekend work?

P/time work agencies?

Etc.

Shot, N. :)

How about going into the advertisement industry as an extra?

Fark that was quick. :)

I've had my bus listed for ages but that never got any interest.

...but for being an extra, how does on go about it, and is there enough demand in the Jo'burg area?

Thanks for the idea Blitz'. :)

Contact a company that has a tie to retro items etc or just need an interesting vehicle to advertise with..they then put on their signage on your car and you drive around happily and park at focal spots so that people can take note ..... i'm sure that you have seen taxis with sunlight liquid adverts

They should give you at least a Grand for an ad like that..it's one of the cheapest forms of advertising that you can find

However, be careful: People might get sinister ideas if they see a nice fleetline with decals on it, lock it up at night and do not run your number plates on it, rather use German Plates with the advertised company's name...

Many a time the signage is easily removable, but the glue might stick for a while until you use plenty elbow grease and peel it off, not a major concern there...

Try contacting a few radio stations, internet service providers as they often need colourful vehicles to promote their businesses...

All the best!

Shot Blitzkrieg. :)

Any signage on my vehicles would have to be the magnetic type. :D

I used to be in various forms of IT, and did some work in tourism. Many types of work in the biking industry (pedal kind). Mags, 'net, tourism, instructing, volunteering, sales, mechie, etc.

Now I work as an administrator for an electronic billing company. :) We handle large quantities of customized email bills.

I can deliver Lambrettas on the back of splitties too.

...outside of normal work hours, you understand. :D

*lol*

Cheers, N.

Would you be interested in distributing an automotive related product here in SA from Berlin?

Do tell. PM me if you want. :)

Is there a startup cost involved?

Cheers, N. :)
