Great build. Rod Emory is just the leader when it comes to 356 Porsche. Not so sure about those rims though.

I believe the absolute "purists" in the US went berzerk at the finished product. I know Chip always like to put "his touch", which most of the time improves the cars' looks immensely, but I didn't like the finished look of that Coupe. Didn't like the wheels, and I think he could have been more aggressive considering it was an outlaw.. Maybe sat it lower all round and given it a better set of wheels for sure. Also not sold on the rear window.. Wernher, your thoughts?

Alan . Yes this is a though one to comment on. I have relaxed a lot more in the last few years when people customize their cars. I don't always agree with what they do, but in the end it is their cars and their dream. I'm not sure I would like someone secretly restoring my car, as I like to be involved every step of the way.
Yes I thought the wheels could have been better. Fuchs are always a winner. The oval window does not look too bad(after all the two cars are brothers), but would have looked a lot better on a 356 A. Unfortunately two cars had to suffer on this project. We must just keep in mind that the States have so many projects lying around , that these builds are more possible there than it would be in SA.
In the end each for his own. And as long as the owner is/was happy then its fine. Not sure that she was.

At the end during the reveal they didn't focus a lot of attention on the rear window ,it.was as if even the cameraman was missing it on purpose

Nice response Wernher, agree completely.
Fuchs are without a doubt the best look for a proper outlaw, well, with any car for that matter.

Jaa, they didn't focus much on that window, good point.

Have a good weekend gents.

This car is actually a landmark car for Foose the first one without a two tone  but IMO he must stick to those Merrican cars beetles Porsches and Busses is just not his thing And anyone who has ever remotely tried restoring a 356 will know that there is no way on this earth that you can even paint a 356 in two weeks let alone find all the rust spots........

I am not too sure about the rims either.... but otherwise, the car does look nice.
The rear window is well done, but from some angles it looks like a kit

That was a brilliant rescue job.

The car was hit very hard along the one side and had body filler about an inch thick in some places. Body filler was peeling off all over the car.

After media blasting, it was found that the body was really "vrot" with rust so bad along the lower body that it looked like lace when viewed against the light.

Initially, I cringed a bit about the oval window, but the execution actually suits the car.

Hats off to the team, as they took something that was fit for the scrap heap and gave it a new lease of life.

I love the colour, and the interior treatment. The tucking of the bumpers gave a whole new perspective to the car's profile and works quite well aesthetically.

But those wheels are FUGLY.
