Bad vibes

Greetings chaps. Just thought I'd post something senseless and time wasting. I am no longer an ACVW owner, but forever an enthusiast of all things with wheels. Even air suspension wheelbarrows (yes, they do exist, and for that purpose only).Recently, I thought it well to sell my beloved volksrod, buy a motorcycle as a quick flip (which backfired completely and left me feeling like a knob), and traded the bike in turn for an Austin Mini bullnose-something-or-other - which I'm ratting by the way. Among other things happening in our allready messed up world - Top Gear being cancelled, people still being retrenched, our economy in tatters, escom!, slow internet, and a heat wave that just won't end. I could go on. And because of all the aforementioned issues it might be worth saying that guys are feeling the pinch and frustrations grow with every little (or big - depending on your general outlook on life) aggravation and irritation. And it's really showing on this forum as well. I used to login just to clear my mind and 'mingle' with fellow motorheads, to escape from responsibilities and daily constraints. But I find myself reading the various posts almost religiously now (not unlike news24 articles and ALL the comments) even though it's absolute garbage. There are some real bad vibes doing the rounds now, and the last joke was posted over a month ago. Feel free to ponder on the facts, and consider why this forum was established in the first place.

In hind sight, maybe my ramblings weren't entirely deserving of a separate topic...

Thanks for nothing......
you just added one more negative vibe to the forum (see above)........

Just kidding.
The forum has its ups and downs, you will find the biggest culprit for the slow forum, is lack of running Projects.
As the economy picks up, and the winter sets in, hopefully some of the projects will get going again, and this will get the flame under the lurkers asses lit to get their own projects up and running.
But there has always been mud slinging, and locked threads. but that too keeps the Volks entertained.
So get yourself an VWAC and post a project thread..........

As Herman said, the forum has its ups and downs. Some people are still recovering from December's early pay check. Others dont have time for their projects...
Not attacking you, but seeing as you are complaining about the last joke being posted a month ago, I see the last joke you posted was 2 months ago. Problem or solution?
You cant rely on a few dedicated individuals to keep the whole forum alive. It takes a little input from a lot of people.

Well I did warn you that it's a nonsense post. It's the same as ignoring a POTHOLES sign, and then still complaining when you drive into one. My point was this, stop the

shelling and keep it light; post a joke now and again (that's not all that counts, I know. And we all can't be comedians, but we all know a few good jokes) and donate actual Ronds to keep this forum alive. I might not own a ACVW anymore, but I'm always busy with a project of sorts (dad has a super beetle and anoher '64 we're restoring), and that includes the worst thing that ever came out of England - yes the bloody mini. Thanks for reading

Just shows you what a great forum this is, ........
Even with admitting to storing and owning a
m..i .... (OH Lord, I never want to use that 4 letter word again)
You still welcome here,

So, lets forget about this infringement, and do a great write up in a project thread, about your dads
VWAC

That and some of the true mad f&cker are no longer on the forum for farious reasons, like Motor Mouth Chris (as ive seen him called in a few posts) and that say it as it is, in your face, no time for BS or unscrupilous asswipes that take members for a ride (his words not mine) Dark Lord Vader... I think he got band for some reason, most probably for taking on said AssWipes..
Its sad that the forum has lost these wackjobs in favor of baing politically correct and turning a blind eye..
In my view the forum is a lesser, duller place for loosing these colorful members...
Sad very sad....

Not bad replies to the mess of words I posted. The mini is coming along fine (fine being the bottomless hole wherein my hard earned bucks are disappearing into rapidly), but I'm on the verge of pushing it down the road, leaving a petrol trail and me lighting it when it's about 20m away. Feckin' thing is a menace!

I'll post some shots of it soon. Just to piss everyone off.

Just to show you that a Mini has passed through the forum a while back and let the few pics be an inspiration to you.
