Hi guys, being a novice, and not knowing what to do, when it comes to car engines and the likes, I was wondering how difficult is it to work on a Beetle engine? I have the Heynes manual, but is this enough? Reading your posts I can see that you guys really know your stuff, so I will be needing lots of advice when I start my buggy project.

I look forward to hearing from you guys. T

Thanks

G

With the heynes manual and a little patience, you will be able to do nearly anything on your car.

Believe it or not, that was my into into hands on engineering... and now I work in the megayacht industry

Try to source "How to keep your vw alive for the complete idiot" by "John Muir". This book starts off by explaining which end of your beetle is the front and which end is the rear and not only takes you step by step through your beetle but any type 1, 2, 3 or 4 vw.

It seems to me I should buy a few copy's of the book, because there is always someone new that is going to need it.

yeah I am ssure there are lots of us novice guys that would love to be able to look after their ACVW's themselves that might be a little afraid because of a lack of knowledge. But then there are guys like you guys on the forum to help spur us on
