Hello all
I would like to put original tyres onto my beetle.
I would like to find out were i can get and if i cant what alternatives do you recommend?
I reside in Pretoria.

I'm not too clued up with the Beetles, but the older models would have 165x65 15" tyres. Do you have Rostyle wheels on your '77 1600L ? I think there were a few models that were actually sold in ZA with these rims, perhaps even in 14" - but I speak under correction.
Perhaps the rims you have might actually be the originals (if they are Rostyles). Cheers

My Beetle has standard steel rims, and has Kumho 165 80 r15 tires on.
Got them from Hi-Q here in Pretoria.

165 "s are about R1200 from Jeppie tyres,I got a set of !85 -65 - 15 from Hi Q Aston Manner Kempton Park for R480 each,refered by another forum member.
