Hi,anybody please help, I do have beetle box with code SF AS but strange enough, it fits on the golf 1.8 and 2.0l without adaptor plate and was not modified. One characteristic, the starter motor is on the opposite side at the bottom at 7 o clock looking at the bell housing.
