Compared to the 1600 bay box, the 1800 has a final drive that's 10% taller and 4th is 0.89 in stead of 0.82. In effect this moves the first 3 gears 10% higher, but 4th only 2% higher. Basically the gap between 3rd and 4th is reduced, for better open road cruising. (Third becomes usable to a higher speed).
