Aircooled VW South Africa

Hey guys. This is my first post on the forums.
A quick overview of my project... VW beetle 4x4.

I have got my chassis and engine with auto box and transfer case. I have my VW beetle shell.... just the shell. It turns out that it is a Beetle S. I dont know much of VW Beetles, but what I have just discovered is that the shell that I have is a Beetle S and that they are rocking horse manure rare.

Should I go ahead with this build or keep my shell for future rebuild on a S?

Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated.

If you plan to fit a beetle shell onto a typical 4x4 chassis of another make, then maybe best to find a more common flatscreen beetle body for that application.

That is what I was thinking Dawie. If I did go through with the build using the S shell I have what is the implications? As it stands I found her rusting away on its side with no interior or dash. Her windscreen was shattered as well. I had no idea what she was until I started looking for a windscreen
