I use Brake pipe or old beetle pushrods (cut ends off) to hide the threads, looks pro.

I would like to know if anybody has a type 3 original exhaust (as a sample ,cape town area) ,I want to make up one as close to original as possible
For now i have modified a beetle silencer to fit the motor, had a nice old one laying around :D

Paul how is the exhaust on your squareback? 8)

it seems my post didnt go through

JC, your engine isnt exactly stock anymore. Fitting a stock exhaust will likely limit your power quite a bit and possibly cause overheating. Either way, you will end up with a result you are not happy with and you should have rather stuck with a stock 1600

Those rims look lekker man,
Sean recently used my Squareback to take measurements and make a sample of the silencer. I'm not sure if it is commercially available yet from the fitment centres they supply, but I'm sure he will reply here.
I'm still running with the sample and its all good :)

Thanks Paul ,check your whatsapp

I want to use the original exhaust to custom make one specific for my engine and Z Heads and more secret parts from Tony`s LAB :puterwork: but still keep it looking original

Do you have the pic of those clips? If the same as for middle, beltline, beading then Wurth or Goldwagen will have as they the same as Citi Golf
