I am very exited yet very nurvice of my new project LOL
I am currently competing in my pypkar with a 1600 twin port with beatle suspension but lack the power to be competitive

I am going to upgrade my pypkar with a AEB vw 18t engine
with a Kombi gearbox and suspension still figuring out the sort of gearbox it is

My concerns is I am doing 4x4 e venting with my pypkar and am worryed that my engine will have to much talk for the gearbox ?
any good advise for this project

Hi Welcome to ACVWSA

That looks like a 1600 bus g-box the best is a 6 rib g-box they are much stronger
the best thing U can do is get Hold of Pierre Bugger Eksteen 0826008663
he can give U the best advice and also builds g-boxes

You might consider building a subframe at back and use the VW 18t gearbox
