My '77 Brasilia

I just bought this '77 Brasilia with minimal rust at what I consider to be a bargain price. It is fitted with a 1600 single port motor, and it runs and drives, even though the steering box is buggered. I have already sourced two boxes so hopefully we can build one good box from the two. Initially I bought into the whole Fugly dissing of this model, but I've come to realise that it's probably the closest I'm going to come to owning anything remotely resembling a splitty. At least it has the doors and cool corner windows :)

It needs some bodywork and a respray, as well as a new interior, but I think I could grow the like this van...

nice bus, just hope you find less fly-screen, poly-filler, old for sale sign boards, news paper, and body filler then I got on mine.

Was good for a few months, then I started getting tickets for littering.

Up to now, she has lost about two hundred kilos, along the roads she has traveled, but she still works every day.

Its sad that shes falling apart, but she is still like the 85 year old hooker on the corner,......

Nice from far... BUT .. far from nice.

All the best.

Herman, my one really has very little rust - some around the back window inside, two spots inside the corner windows, and some at the bottom of the one door. But otherwise I can't see much else and I'm pretty good at finding rust :) For what I paid I think I've got a solid vehicle - and she runs nogal...
