Aircooledwonders Support Vehicle

Here is another project that I bought from a fellow forum member (Dixon)
I saw this facebook ad of a Beach Buggy body for sale and thought what could possibly go wrong.Up to date this has been my second most challenging restoration that I've done.I prefer working with metal and it took some time to understand fiberglass.

Image

It is a Kestrel Buggy, originally built in PE. After seeing the ad, I started dreaming of what it could be after restoring it. The idea is to use it as a workshop run around car and also a support vehicle at the race track.

I literately only started with a body, but fortunately had the right friends to help me.

My friend, Anton Dekker helped with some of the fiberglass work.

He closed the sides up and made the rear window smaller to give it a classic look.

Anton also made me some Speedster bucket seats to give it the right look at the track :D

This Buggy begged to have a roofrack.

And a roll cage.

As I mentioned, I had some friends to help me along the way.

Good point Herman :)

This project should actually never have happened. There is more than enough to keep me busy. Maybe one day, but for now it will be a standard 1600 cc that was laying in the workshop.
