Just hope it all does not all end up as scrap metal or leave our shores it would be a real shame.

Welcome to ACVWSA John - are you a member of the vd Brink family?

The ad posted earlier clearly stated 'lock, stock & barrel'? Perhaps you should just post a new ad stating that locks, stocks & barrels are out of stock, to avoid confusion?

The ad Pine posted is for another business entirely. OP was obviously confused.

I just spoke to John on the phone and he has taken over the Van den Brink business. Far from closing down, he is expanding. John is Derk van den Brink's nephew and I have known him since the 1980s. He is an excellent air-cooled mechanic, so anyone needing a good air-cooled mechanic in the north-west of Joburg, John is your man.

You had to see how surprised the guy at vd Brinks was when I walked in there and asked him how much he is selling for. He said no, I said yes I spoke to you on the phone just now and you said come have a look what I got.
When I showed him the add he said its not his number.

It is Beetle Corner (thanks Bugger)selling, they are going to concentrate on their workshop.

Wish there was a hidden camera - would have been hillarious! Actually we were all wrong, assuming it was vdB's
