Put Foot 2017 Donations

I will be travelling this July with the “Put Foot” Rally”http://www.putfootrally.com/, in my 1975 VW Type 181 Kubelwagen, affectionately known as “Thingi”. As you all know the “Put Foot Rally’s” name has been derived from the fact that all the drivers get to raise money and distribute shoes across Southern Africa. The Put Foot Foundation gives brand new school shoes to underprivileged children.
We embark upon an 18-day adventure across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Malawi in June this year 2017. The Rally ends in Malawi having then travelled 8000+ km’s from Cape Town starting the 19th June to 6th July 2017. Then it’s still the return home.
I would like to extend the opportunity of giving to such a rewarding cause. Anyone who is wanting to be part of the giving, a “Donation” of R200, buys a young person in a school in Southern Africa, a pair of shoes. Each pair of shoes costs R200 and all donations are given to the Put Foot” organisers. They are the ones who buy the shoes and the shoes are then distributed to the drivers who will go into the schools and get to personally place a pair of shoes on the bare feet of those Children.
I will make sure that your name is placed on my car along with all the people that have already donated to this very worthy cause.
I am reminded everyday how lucky I am to walk in a pair of shoes, and I appeal to all to be part of this giving.
