Short History:
Got the vehicle from my Grandma in 2003 as my first car. She had done 89 000kms with it and it still had the original front tyres on as I remember.
I swopped the old wheels for ProWhites to enable the fittment of more economical tyres.
It was put into storage(plaas skuur) in 2010 as I had no place for it at the time and the vehicle was not running.
The photo of the car on the trailer was Feb 2017 when I collected it on the farm. Full of all kinds of rat turds and gunk.
The other two photos are of it after a handwash and vacuum.
Took me about a month and a half to sort out a bunch of stuff and we finally have a machine that is running and driving. So I can get it to the various experts to have a look at it.
First stop is a aircooled vw engine specialist to ensure the engine is running soundly, safely and reliably.
Next stop is probably the Auto-Electrician to sort out the various wires that were damaged by rats.
Then off for a proper polish to figure out whether the stains are removeable and which panels would need a respray.
LAstly then interior.
Looking forward to making this my everyday driving car again.
