Beetle model year

I may have to sell my VW Beetle, but I am not sure what the model year is.
VIN 5038239
Engine number 7176335
Is it possible to determine from these numbers if this is an original car?

Both the engine and chassis numbers date to October 1962, making your car a 1963 model year Beetle. It's very unusual, especially on such an old car, to find Beetles with original matching VIN and engine numbers.

This is probably the most comprehensive website for ACVW information in the world. Just be aware that a lot of the info won't apply to SA ACVWs, especially paint colour info.
