Changing the registered engine number

Greetings everyone.
I have installed a remanufactured engine subassembly into my SQB. Can someone - who has actually done the paperwork trail, please tell me what is required to change the registered particulars of the vehicle on the eNatis. I'm thinking police clearance, data dot, that sort of thing. And also where to go in order to get all this done without running into bureaucratic blundering...
Thanks,

Its quite a quick process, you must just find out where your nearest SAPS clearance unit it, they will inspect same, and the paper work is done by them. The data dot thing must be done first and bring that certificate with you to the police clearance guys

done it quite a few times.
Go to the licensing department and fill out a RPC (request for police clearance).
Get Data dot
Go to clearancing center and have them inspect engine number - they will do some paperwork and send you back to the licensing dept
Go to licensing dept and pick up new license disc.

Thanks Tony, interestingly, in Paarl, once the inspection was done, I just handed the paperwork in (provincial traffic clerk at the clearance unit), they told me not to worry about changing the disc as the new engine details would reflect on the next year's disc. RPC forms were also available there.
But Variant, its quite a speedy process regardless. And used to be pretty cheap until they came out with the data dot requirement
