Good day folks - long time no speak!!!!. I have been out of the ACVW scene for some time now and have also moved from Gauteng to the Fairest Cape.
My daughter has a Karmann Ghia which I built up a few years ago from parts from a couple of other Karmanns,. She is now moving overseas and thinking of disposing of the car, and as much as I would like to have it I dont have the space anymore. This car was fitted with a Porsche industrial engine which has subsequently been removed (some people never learn!)
The car consists of:

A 1960'ish body and chassis.
A 1302 front end welded on with ball joints and disc brakes
a 1302 rear end welded on with independant suspension and good gearbox
Wheels are mini-lites with good tyres
Body has been slightly arched to avoid wider wheel base (not very well done)
Has Porsche 356 speedo and instrument cluster
Smith tacho
Non standard fuel gauge
Glass all good
Non standard windscreen washer
Paintwork OK with a bit of surface rust showing through in a couple of places
Upholstery black and white - in good nick
New headliner
Cloth covered dash
Home done wiring - all works
no bumpers
1300 motor - very sweet and pulls well - used fairly regularly and recent trip from Gauteng to Cape Town

That's about it I think.
Does anyone have any idea what this car may be worth? engine number needs changing but papers all in order and licensed.
All the best
