No Beetle page for 1971?
Hi BeetlePower. I think I may have solved this mystery. If you look at the cards under 1971, right at the bottom of the cards, the print code is D30396. When looking at the cards under 1972 the print code is D41017, with the exception of the last card listed under 1972 which also carries the same print code as the 1971 cards. I think in the scanning it got mixed up...a very easy mistake and no offense to you @Fig Also look at the top left corner, the 1971 cards has a screw in pin keeping the cards together and the 1972 cards a little piece of rope, except for the last card. So I think your missing 1971 Beetle card is there under 1972.

Thanks for this Herbie, and well spotted! I only read this post now. I've edited the 1971 and 1972 posts to correct my error.

After months of searching I have finally found the magical Denim Blue Jeans Beetle from 1976. The colour plate reads code 46 - Electric Blue. It was one of the metallic colours.

I don't suppose anyone has the paint codes and colours for SAMAD 1958?

Incredible thread... I am overjoyed to have found this! Thank you to the curators and historians for making it available. Upholstery is specifically my challenge, as I am trying to replace my front seats (ruined) to match the original back seat (great condition). Aside from the code "Ivory 54", is there any further information on the specific pattern of the vinyl, and where in the world it might be found in 2023? A fleeting glimpse of the correct stuff is given at the lower right corner of the card for my SA-built 1969 1500 Beetle:
